Welcome to my Digital Workspace

My most recent project has been completing my bass gallery. It's scary how the time flies and how the basses stack up so quickly. Some I've kept, some I've had to sell in order to buy others. I will always enjoy handling a quality instrument and seeing how the bass has developed over time and from brand to brand.

If you are a friend of the low end, check out my basses page.

Web Site Design

The most effective way to judge if a website is "good" or not is it's ease of navigation, legibility, and weather or not it serves it's intended function. It does not have to be complicated or flashy to be effective.

Most small business can also benifit by adding additional web features to their site, but not all business would be successful with the same features. For example, A musical group that has a website would also benefit from having a all forms of social media to appeal to fans, but would not do very well on Google AdWords. However a building contractor with a website would not benifit from social media as well they would a presence with Angies List or the Google AdWords. How do you know which web features effectively improve your web presence? Through Analytics, it is possible to track over time what drives traffic to your website, you can then focus your efforts on the most effective web tools, you can also track how much return an ad investment brought in order to decide if it's worth repeating the campain.

I have experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Google AdWords, Analytics, Webmaster Tools, and I'm Enrolled in the Google Engage program.

Photography

Music Photography has been a recent focus lately. Shooting for Oregon Music News since 2010, I've had great access to many local groups as well as national acts that toured through the Northwest and Portland. Prior to shooting and writing for OMN, I wrote and took pictures for my travel blog. Though modest and mainly for myself, two of my entries were featured on the site's main page and enjoyed lots of traffic for a short period. My final goal is to scan all my 35mm and slides into a massive organized collection.

My all-genre portfolio and archive are still under construction, possibly indefinately.
